Our Story
MCB Clinical Research Centers was founded on one simple belief: every patient deserves hope.
Our name honors Marie Claire Bossaert, whose courage and determination inspired the mission we continue today.
In 1985, Marie Claire was diagnosed with colon cancer and given only three to six months to live. After delivering the devastating news, her physician told her to "take care of your affairs" and walked out of the room.
Our family wasn't ready to accept that as the end of her story.
We began searching for answers and discovered clinical research. Marie Claire enrolled in multiple clinical trials, giving her access to treatments that were not yet widely available.
Those studies gave our family something we will always be grateful for: time.
Not just six more years, but six more years filled with memories. She welcomed three more grandchildren into the world, learned to ski, traveled throughout Europe, celebrated birthdays, laughed with family, and experienced moments that we had been told she would never have.
Marie Claire passed away on February 17, 1991. While we lost someone, we loved deeply her journey left us with a lasting purpose.
Today, MCB Clinical Research exists to ensure that patients are never left believing they have no options. We are committed to connecting individuals with innovative clinical trials that may provide access to tomorrow's treatments while helping advance medicine for generations to come.
Every participant who walks through our doors reminds us why we do this. Every study represents another opportunity to bring hope, create possibilities, and change lives.
If Marie Claire's story teaches us anything, it's that no one should be told that they've run out of hope before they have explored every possibility.
